Who we are

Shands Digital Corp builds websites for small and medium local businesses. The registered office is 3804 Pebble Creek Rd, Midlothian, VA 23112. Omar Shands is the person responsible for questions about personal information.

What we collect

If you call, email, or sign in, we keep the name, email address, phone number, and the message you send. We also keep the page address you opened, the cookie choice you make, and the date.

If you pay an invoice, Stripe processes the card. We receive the fact of payment and the amount. We do not store the card number on this site. There is no card field here.

We do not buy lists of personal information. We do not knowingly collect information from a child under 13. This site is not directed at children.

Why we use it

We use it to answer you, to do the work you approve, to send an invoice, to keep the site secure, and to meet a legal duty. We do not use it to sell you someone else's product.

Hosting runs on Vercel. The file of a client job is stored in Supabase. Mail goes through Resend when we send it. Payment goes through Stripe. Each one handles the information only so we can do that job.

We do not sell it

We do not sell personal information. We do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not run optional analytics until you accept the cookie choice. Reject, and the site still works.

Virginia

If you live in Virginia, you may ask to see the personal information we hold, to correct it, to delete it, or to receive a copy. You may also appeal if we deny the request. Write omar@shandsdigital.com. We answer within 45 days. If we need more time, we will tell you and may take one more 45 days. We will not treat you worse for asking.

A small studio may sit under the revenue line in the Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act. We still honor these requests.

California, and visitors outside the United States

If you live in California, you may ask what we hold and ask us to delete it. We do not sell or share personal information as those words are used in the California privacy law. We will not discriminate against you for asking.

We do not target the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area. If you write from there, email Omar and we will treat it as a request to see or delete what we hold.

How long we keep it

We keep a job file while the work is open and for a reasonable time after, so we can answer a question or meet a tax duty. The cookie that remembers your choice lasts 180 days. You can clear it sooner in your browser.

Security

We use ordinary care: access limits, a hosted site, and no card numbers on our server. No method is perfect. If a breach reaches you, we will tell you as the law requires.
